# Key Concepts

## What is Liquidity Locking?

Liquidity locking means depositing liquidity assets (LP tokens or position NFTs) into a smart contract so they cannot be withdrawn before the unlock condition is met.

Liquidity locks and token vesting help with transparency and commitment, but they do <mark style="color:blue;">**NOT**</mark> guarantee:

* No future token minting
* No changes to token contract logic
* Price stability

## What is Linear Unlocking?

Linear unlocking/vesting releases locked tokens gradually over a predefined period instead of unlocking everything at once.

Typical use cases include, but not limited to:&#x20;

* Team/advisor vesting
* Ecosystem incentives
* Gradual unlock schedules for transparency and reduced sell pressure

### Why TrustLocker is Trustless?

TrustLocker is enforced by smart contracts. Once created:

* Lock parameters are immutable
* There is no admin override
* No third party can withdraw locked assets early
